✓ The short version
- Statistics and ad cookies only with your permission. Nothing loads until you say yes.
- Saying no is just as easy as saying yes, and the free lessons work the same either way.
- Your lesson progress is stored on your device, not sent to me.
- Change your mind anytime via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed to make the site work. Others are used to count visitors or show ads. Websites can also save information in your browser in a similar way (called "local storage"). On this page, "cookies" means both.
The cookies I use
There are four kinds. Only the first two are used without asking you first:
Said no to ads? You may still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing.
YouTube videos
The lesson videos come from YouTube. They only load when you press play, and I use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube may save cookies or similar data in your browser, under Google's privacy policy.
Changing your choice
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change your choice. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you do, the cookie banner shows up again, and your lesson progress in the free course is reset.
More about your data
Cookies are only part of the story. Everything about how I handle your personal data, and your rights, is in the privacy policy. Questions? Email info@spanishwithwes.com.
